Outreach + Teaching

I worked as a project fellow to support the municipality of Anchorage, AK to calculate their greenhouse gas inventories from 2015 (the baseline) and 2020 through AGU's Thriving Earth Exchange program. See our results here: Anchorage GHG Inventory 2015 and 2020. This will be used to help reach municipal goals to decrease carbon emissions by 2050.  

In addition to teaching lab sections in the classroom, I assisted in teaching field courses in the Peruvian Andes and Amazon, the Colorado Rockies and northern Alaska. This included teaching near surface geophysic techniques and water sampling as well as research project development and implementation. 

During my field time in Nepal, I worked with a number of MS students from Tribhuvan University - instructing on field sampling, analyses and writing.
